The Sound Source, Pelican Events and The Taste Buds, founders of Zea Rotisserie & Grill and Semolina, are on a mission leading a caravan to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to feed over 1000 people and lift the spirits of those who have been affected by the recent devastating tornados as part of “Three Chefs, One Mission.”
On Tueday, May 10th, 2011, a caravan of people, food, equipment and donations will depart New Orleans to set up a cooking site to feed people on Wednesday, May 11, in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Pelican Events has made special arrangements to fly in Louisiana’s own Amanda Shaw to entertain and brighten the atmosphere for those victims and first responders that have been working together since the storms devestated the area on April 27.
Pelican Events is sending two trucks and trailers on the trip with one of their full outdoor festival stage packages, including a covered hydraulic stage and a powerful diesel generator.
The Sound Source is providing PA, stage gear and full production for the event. TSS Owner Tim Kilbride will engineer the show and make sure everything goes smoothly.
